She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and later earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy) from the University of San Francisco in California. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Stephanie has been practicing in the field of mental health for over four years providing a variety of different services including case management, consultation, intensive in home, and community support in additional to therapy services. Stephanie’s specialty areas include working with children & adolescents on bullying, peer pressure, rebuilding family communication, school behavior problems, depression, anxiety, grief/trauma, stress management, anger management and ADHD. Stephanie also works with adult clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, job concerns, relationship difficulties and adjustments to life events. Her clinical approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy.

Amanda received her graduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned a Masters degree in clinical social work. Amanda has been working in the mental health field since 2004 and has experience in various settings including inpatient hospitalization programs, therapeutic foster care, and private practice. Her special area of focus involves working with difficult children and teens and their families and teaching them effective methods of becoming a loving, functioning unit. She has several years experience working with children and adolescents on issues such as anger, depression, self-injurious behavior, peer pressure, communication, and self-efficacy. She works closely with families on developing new approaches to heal rifts between teens and parents. Amanda also works with clients who are dealing with anxiety, sadness, anger, job struggles, personality issues, marriage and couples counseling, stress management, and adjusting to life events. Amanda uses evidence-based practices in therapy to achieve long-lasting results in a short amount of time. She has been trained in treatment models including Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Family Systems, Solution Focused therapy, and the use of collaborative contracting with clients.
